WIMPY Eventing is a terrifying thing, when you’re scared out of your bloody mind and rely heavily on booze and Imodium supplies to keep you in check, something has to have your back.
I am delighted to announce that from March 2017; I, the Wimpiest Eventer that ever trotted the earth, will be the VERY proud Amateur Brand Ambassador for Point Two Air Jackets.
Now, in the sport of pony mounting there are things you can’t control (how you feel, how many times you vomit, how green you look) and things you can – one of those is safety. Safety in the sport of eventing is something we should never overlook and the safer you feel, the more confident you become. FACT.
Wearing a body protector is one thing, one compulsory item you MUST wear to go XC. Just because an air vest isn’t compulsory, doesn’t mean you shouldn’t wear one – one day I hope they will be compulsory too. I plan to hack in mine, to jump in it, to sleep in it (not sure if my husband will agree on where I plan to attach the lanyard!!) and feel safe and confident in my riding.
The most wonderful thing is, I have a VERY special WIMPY EVENTER ProAir Vest arriving in the next few weeks, in pale blue with our branded bum patch so you can all spot me on course when I’m screaming my lungs out!
